Congratulations, you've made it to the long anticipated day where you meet your baby, earthside! You've been waiting for this special day for 40 weeks or even your whole life

The birth package is for those of you who wish to have a doula present during your birth, whether it's in-person, virtually, at the hospital, or in the comfort of your own home 

 

It is included with the pregnancy package that you will have access to communicating with your doula 24/7. Any questions you may have can be answered via text or email....HOWEVER, I ask that you call me if you think you are in labor! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

During active labor, I will:

• Meet you at your birthing location

• Review your personalized birth plan with you

• Provide physical support to reduce pain, progress labor, and encourage comfortability 

• Communicate with your birth team about how your labor is progressing, where your baby is stationed, how far dilated you are, etc.

• Provide emotional support for both you and your partner and/or support system

• Advocate for YOUR birthing preferences 

  • Your preferences may change throughout labor, and that is okay! I am there to be your voice and walk you through any medical situations that may counteract with anything on your birth plan​​

Immediately after the baby is delivered, I will:

• Stay with you until you feel well taken care of (usually about 60 minutes, or until baby has latched [if breastfeeding])

• Assist with "the golden hour" (the first hour after birth where mom provides skin-to-skin contact with baby, there's a healthy latch, etc)

• Help you recover in any way you and/or your labor team need me to assist
